The increasing presence of household recycling bins has made recycling easier than ever. As environmental awareness continues to rise, we’d like to make sure you know that most of our packaging is recyclable – and how you can help.

  • Recycling 1 ton of cardboard saves 17 trees, significantly reducing deforestation.
  • Recycling the same amount of cardboard would reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by about 1,500 pounds’ worth of CO2.
  • Creating new paper requires significant water use, which cardboard recycling also helps reduce.
  • More recycled cardboard means less discarded cardboard taking up space in landfills.

Let’s say you’ve purchased a night light from Jasco. First, on the back of the packaging, you will find an icon accompanied by the words “100% recyclable.” Now check the plastic for a similar icon denoting recyclability. Note that all cardboard is recyclable, but some plastic will not be.

Make sure to separate plastic from cardboard for placement in different containers. Remove any other non-recyclable content prior to recycling.

Locate your nearest recycling drop-off center or take advantage of your local curbside recycling program. And last but not least, be sure to encourage your friends and family to make the same environmentally conscious choices!
