Privacy policy
Last Updated: September 22, 2026
Jasco Products Company LLC, together with its subsidiaries, affiliates, and brand-licensed websites, applications, and connected products (collectively, "Jasco," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes the categories of personal information we collect through our websites, mobile applications, connected products, and online services that link to or reference this Policy (collectively, the "Services"), how we use and share that information, and the choices and rights available to you.
This Policy applies to information we collect through the Services. It does not apply to information collected by third parties through their own websites, products, or services, even if those services are linked from or integrate with our Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide directly; (b) information collected automatically when you use the Services; and (c) information from third-party sources.
A. Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you submit when you:
• Create an account or register for the Services, including your name, email address, password, and (for B2B accounts) phone number, physical address, industry, and business attributes;
• Place an order or check out, including your shipping and billing addresses, contact information, and payment details (payment card data is processed by our payment processor and is not retained by us);
• Sign up for emails, SMS messages, newsletters, or marketing communications;
• Submit reviews, ratings, photos, comments, customer service inquiries, warranty registrations, or other communications;
• Set up or use a Connected Product, including device names, location names (e.g., "kitchen," "bedroom"), schedule names, and configuration settings;
• Participate in surveys, contests, sweepstakes, or promotions; or
• Communicate with us by phone, email, live chat, or other means.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect information about your device and your interactions with the Services, including:
• Device and browser information: IP address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and language preferences;
• Usage information: pages visited, time and duration of visits, referring and exit pages, search terms entered into our site search, products viewed, items added to cart, click-through paths, and similar interaction data;
• Approximate location: derived from IP address;
• Connected Product data: device usage, performance, status, firmware version, network information, and related telemetry, as further described in Section 6;
• Cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies: see Section 4.
Where required by applicable law, we obtain your consent before deploying non-essential cookies and similar technologies through the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit to our websites.
C. Information from Third-Party Sources
We may receive information about you from third parties, including business partners, advertising networks, analytics providers, social media platforms, fraud-prevention services, retailers and resellers of our products, brand licensors, and shipping or logistics vendors. If you connect a third-party account (for example, by signing in through a single sign-on provider, or by linking a Connected Product to a voice assistant such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant), we may receive information from that provider as authorized by you and the provider’s terms.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
• To operate the Services, process and fulfill orders, register and authenticate accounts, set up and operate Connected Products, and provide customer service;
• To communicate with you about your account, orders, products, services, recalls, firmware updates, and security or policy notices;
• To send marketing communications, promotional offers, product recommendations, and similar messages, where permitted by law and your preferences;
• To personalize content, recommend products, and improve your experience;
• To measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising, including through analytics and conversion tracking;
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, product defects, and other harmful or unlawful activity;
• To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights, property, and the safety of others;
• To conduct internal research, analytics, product development, and quality assurance.
3. How We Share Information
We share personal information in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers acting on our behalf. We share information with vendors and service providers who perform services for us, including hosting and platform providers, payment processors, shipping and logistics providers, marketing and email/SMS providers, customer-review platforms, analytics providers, advertising-measurement vendors, fraud-prevention services, customer-support tools, and Connected Product cloud infrastructure providers. These service providers are contractually limited (whether through negotiated agreements or click-through data processing terms) to using the information only to provide services to us and may not use it for their own independent purposes. A list of categories of recipients appears in Section 7.
Advertising and measurement partners. Subject to your cookie preferences, we share certain information with advertising and measurement partners (including Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC) to measure the performance of our marketing, optimize advertising delivered to you and to similar users, and report on conversions. Some of these partners use the information for their own advertising purposes as well as ours. In particular, we have enabled Google Signals, which allows Google to associate site activity with signed in Google accounts across devices, and we participate in Shopify Audiences, which uses purchase and browsing signals from participating Shopify merchants to build advertising audiences. These activities constitute a sale or share of personal information under California law; see Section 10 for details and opt out options.
Affiliates and brand licensors. We may share information with our subsidiaries, parents, affiliates, and brand licensors (including the licensors of brands such as GE, Philips, Energizer, and Disney) for the purposes described in this Policy, including warranty administration, product safety, customer service, and integrated marketing.
Voice assistants and integrated services. If you connect a Connected Product to a voice assistant (such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant) or other third-party platform, your information will be shared with that third party as authorized by you. Use of those third-party services is governed by the third party’s privacy policy, not this Policy.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; to enforce our agreements and policies; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jasco, our customers, or others.
With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
We do not knowingly sell personal information of consumers under the age of 16, and we do not direct the Services to children under 13.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze traffic and usage, secure the Services, and deliver and measure advertising. This section serves as our cookie disclosure.
A. Categories of Cookies
• Strictly necessary / required: Required for the Services to function (e.g., shopping cart, authentication, security, fraud prevention). These cannot be disabled.
• Personalization: Remember your preferences and settings to enhance your experience.
• Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use the Services, including via Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization enabled).
• Marketing / advertising: Used by us and our advertising partners to deliver and measure advertising, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google Ads conversion tracking, Klaviyo (email/SMS), Bazaarvoice (reviews), and ShareASale (affiliate marketing).
B. Consent Management
On your first visit to our websites, we display a cookie consent banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookie categories, including Personalization, Analytics and Marketing. Our advertising and analytics technologies are managed through our e-commerce platform's consent framework, and we do not use cookies in a category you decline to deliver advertising or measure your activity for the purposes described above. A limited number of operational tools, such as the customer service chat function available on certain pages, are necessary to make those pages work and may operate independently of these categories. You may change your preferences at any time through the cookie preferences link in the Site footer or by clearing your browser cookies. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
C. Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode v2. If you decline marketing or analytics cookies, Google’s tags receive consent signals indicating that storage and personalization should be denied, and Google operates in a limited, modeled mode rather than full tracking.
D. Industry Opt-Out Resources
In addition to the controls described above, you may use the following industry resources to manage interest-based advertising preferences across many participating advertisers:
• Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out: optout.networkadvertising.org
• Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt-out and AdChoices: optout.aboutads.info
• Mobile device controls: limit ad tracking through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads).
Opting out through these tools sets a preference cookie or device signal that participating companies recognize. Clearing your cookies or using a different device or browser may require you to renew your opt-out election.
5. Site Search
When you use the search function on our websites, the term you enter is recorded in the page address and may be transmitted to our analytics and advertising service providers, including Google (as a search term event parameter) and, where you have consented to marketing cookies, Meta (as a search string parameter). We use this to measure how visitors use the Services and to optimize our marketing. Where your consent is required by applicable law, these transmissions occur only after you have granted consent through the cookie consent banner. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the site search field.
6. Connected Products
Some Jasco products and brand-licensed products are "Connected Products" , devices that connect to the internet, communicate with our cloud services, and may be controlled through a mobile application or voice assistant. This section describes how we handle data from Connected Products. The product packaging or app may also include a supplemental privacy notice specific to that product.
A. Information Collected by Connected Products
• Account and registration information: account credentials, contact information, and account preferences;
• Device information: device identifier, model, firmware version, network information (e.g., Wi-Fi SSID, signal strength, IP address), and pairing status;
• Usage and telemetry: device on/off status, settings, schedules, scenes, sensor readings, error events, performance diagnostics, and similar operational data;
• Sensor data: where the product includes sensors (e.g., motion, temperature, light), data captured by those sensors;
• Audio, video, or images: only when the product feature requires it (e.g., a camera-equipped product) and only with your permission. Sensitive audio/video processing may occur on the device, in our cloud services, or via a third-party processor as disclosed in the product’s supplemental notice;
• Voice assistant integrations: if you link the Connected Product to a third-party voice assistant, your interactions with that assistant are subject to the assistant provider’s privacy policy.
B. How We Use Connected Product Data
We use Connected Product data to operate and maintain the product and its associated services, deliver firmware updates, troubleshoot, identify product defects or safety issues, communicate with you about your product, conduct internal research and product improvement, and (where you have consented) deliver marketing related to the product.
C. Firmware Updates
We may automatically deliver firmware and software updates to maintain security, stability, and feature performance. By using a Connected Product, you agree to receive these updates. Updates do not require collection of personal data beyond what is described in this Policy.
D. Sharing of Connected Product Data
Connected Product data is shared only as described in Section 3 and only as needed to operate the product, fulfill your requested integrations, comply with law, or as otherwise authorized by you.

We use sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide the Services, perform our contracts with you, secure the Services, prevent fraud, and comply with law , all of which are exempt purposes under California law. We will acknowledge your request within ten business days and respond within forty-five calendar days, which we may extend by a further forty-five days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you. We will verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and we may decline requests where verification fails or where an exception applies. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require written authorization signed by you and may separately verify your identity. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt out request from the browser sending the signal. If we deny your request, you may appeal by writing to privacy@byjasco.com with the word Appeal in the subject line, and we will respond to the appeal within forty-five days.
F. Notice of Financial Incentive

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 15. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by your state’s law.
