For standard night light use, simply plug the light directly into your wall. In the event of a power outage, the light will remain on and automatically switch to battery power, making it easy to find in the dark. Finally, to use as a portable flashlight or tabletop light, unplug the light from the wall and fold in the plug for comfortable handheld use. The power failure light also features light‑sensing technology, which helps keep energy costs down by automatically turning the light on at dusk and off at dawn. Additionally, the light includes a Hi/Low/Off button for easy manual operation. The light comes with 3 AA batteries for up to 250 hours of battery life (on low setting) – battery power is not used while the light is plugged in.
